I am a first-year PhD student in the sub-discipline of analytical chemistry. My research involves developing laser ablation mass spectrometry techniques for cellular mapping and proteomics. I grew up in the GTA and graduated from the University of Guelph with a BSc. in biological and pharmaceutical chemistry. I gained some experience working in the pharmaceutical sector and then returned to the University of Guelph to complete an MASc. thesis on the topic of plant-soil mineral chemistry. Outside of the lab, I enjoy badminton, hiking and sci-fi novels.
